Diving into Asana 50hr Modules

Diving into Asana was born from having to mentor many students returning from a 200hr Teacher Training who learned very little about how to teach an asana class. Having taught trainings for eight years with Yogaworks, it’s understandable that 200 hours is difficult to dive deep into the nuts and bolts of teaching. So we’ve created 50hr modules in order to dive deeper into topics we feel are most important to learn as a Yoga Teacher & as a student who desires to deepen their practice.

Liz Terry

eRYT500+

Liz Terry is an eRYT500+ Yoga movement educator, Certified Rolfer™, and Yoga teacher trainer (from 2014), who caught a bit of wanderlust that took her around the world, landing her in Dubai, UAE for over ten years. Her teaching journey started at YogaWorks for the 200hr teacher training in California in 2008, then with Michel Besnard in Thailand for her 300hr in 2011, and with Jill Miller & Yoga Tune Up off and on since 2013. In 2014 Liz began her journey of teaching 200hr Yoga Trainings for YogaWorks on her own, which led her to teach ten trainings between Dubai and Japan. She’s also facilitated trainings for local studios in Denver, CO and co-led in Costa Rica.

From certifications in Yin Yoga, Vinyasa 500+, Yoga Tune-Up, Joe Muscolino’s Osteopathic training, & Rolfing, Liz has a wealth of knowledge to share. Her students laugh at her motto “there’s a method to my madness,” of which she’s famous for. Once you get to know her, you’ll know what that means.

From 2018-2019 Liz studied at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute of Structural Integration that deeply expanded her anatomy and movement knowledge of teaching asana.

What she’s learned from her teachers and students from being abroad goes beyond what being on the mat has taught her. Liz continues to enhance her teaching by practicing all types of movement from yoga to Crossfit, to Ido Portal, Functional Patterns & Yoga Tune Up etc. Her classes challenge the idea of what asana is, allowing her students to explore and empower themselves by exploring the edges what their bodies and minds can do.

Rossi

E-RYT500 and YACEP

Rossi’s journey with yoga began as a teenager in her home country of Bulgaria, where yoga “found” her at the age of 17. What started as an occasional practice soon became a deep passion, leading her to pursue her first Vinyasa yoga teacher training in 2014. Since then, Rossi has been committed to not only deepening her practice but also understanding the rich traditions and roots of yoga. She believes wholeheartedly in the holistic benefits of yoga, embracing all eight limbs described by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras as essential to a balanced life.

With thousands of hours of training under her belt, Rossi is well-versed in a variety of yoga styles, including Power Vinyasa, Iyengar, Hatha, Restorative, Yin, and Yoga for addiction and recovery. She is also trained in Y12SR, Love Your Brain (yoga for traumatic brain injuries), Adaptive Yoga, and The art of adjustments and mindful touch. Her dedication to expanding her knowledge is ever-growing, and she is currently on the path to becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy and completing 500 hours of Yoga philosophy study. She is an E-RYT500 and YACEP.

Rossi’s teaching style is as multifaceted as her journey. Her classes are empowering, intentional, and hands-on, while also infused with humor, sensuality, and deep educational insights. She creates an environment where students not only strengthen their bodies but also deepen their understanding of themselves, their practice, and the world around them. Through her work, Rossi aims to help others cultivate mindfulness, resilience, and healing on all levels—physical, mental, and emotional.
